The Russian Ministry of Defense has ordered new D10 parachutes to replace the current inventory of D5 and D6 parachutes designed 20 years ago. The D10 has a flatter canopy and an improved deployment system. It is designed to avoid collisions during mass jumps.--Stephen V Cole
