US intelligence has detected signs that al Qaeda plans (or at least wants) to attack the space shuttle Colombia during its 19 July launch (carrying an Israeli astronaut). Bringing down the shuttle would be a powerful statement equal to the World Trade Center attacks.--Stephen V Cole
