China has begun construction of two new destroyers at the Jiangnan shipyard. This shipyard previously built the two Luhu-class destroyers. China had intended to build six of them but could not obtain gas turbines after the first two. It is unclear what power system will be used for the new ships, or whether they are a new design or a modified Luhu.--Stephen V Cole
