February22, 2007: From an Islamic terrorists point of view, the last decade has been one of many victories. Not only were there 3,000 killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks, but the earlier embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania killed 292, mainly African civilians. After 2001, there were no more attacks in the United States, so Islamic terrorists struck where they could (Bali, Indonesia, 202 dead, Beslan, Russia, 333 dead, Madrid, 191 dead, London, 51 dead, Mumbai, India, 200 dead, and so on). All this has attracted tremendous media attention, especially in the Moslem world. As a result, many like minded Moslems have joined with al Qaeda to attack infidels (non-Moslems.) This has led to terrorist violence in Algeria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Chad, Chechnya, Dagestan, Denmark, East Timor, Egypt, England, Eritrea, Ethiopia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ingushetia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Jordan-Iraq, Kabardino-Balkans, Kenya, Kosovo, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Gaza-Palestinian Afghanistan Authority, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Somalia, Spain, Sri Lanka , Sudan , Syria , Tajikistan, Thailand , Tunisia , Turkey , United Arab Emirates, United Arab Republic, Uzbekistan and Yemen. At last count, there were over fatal 5,000 attacks, resulting in over 26,000 dead. There were many more attacks that did not kill, but spread terror, and often inflicted injuries.

Moreover, the Islamic radicals have continued to position themselves as victims, or people lashing out with righteous violence to avenge of past injustices, and thus not really responsible for their atrocities. This line has always been popular in Moslem countries, and has been accepted by many media outlets in non-Moslem nations. The Islamic radicals see it all as a divine plan, a long term program that can be considered a success as long as something (especially violence and dead bodies) is happening. While al Qaeda, and Islamic terrorists in general, have received a lot of bad press in the Moslem world, for the large number of Iraqi civilians they have killed, this has not distracted from the glory of killing non-Moslems elsewhere.

While the Islamic radicals are not likely to achieve their goal of world domination, they can, and do, congratulate themselves for what they have accomplished. After all, it's Gods Will.
