The 1430th Engineer Company, horizontal construction engineers, and the 744th Engineer Company, 54th Engineer Battalion, in cooperation with the Afghan government and Afghan national security forces, begin the process of rebuilding the roads in eastern Afghanistans Khogyani and Sherzad districts, Feb. 8. The approximately $5 million effort includes six separate projects three asphalt and three cobblestone spanning nearly 43 kilometers.
