USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) comes alongside the oiler USNS Yukon (T-A0 202) in the turbulent seas of the western Pacific Ocean in an attempted replenishment-at-sea (RAS) evolution, Aug. 23, 2004. The Kitty Hawk Carrier Strike Group cut short its port visit in Guam Aug. 21 to skirt Super Typhoon Chaba (19W), which formed west of the island.
