PHILIPPINE SEA (Feb. 1, 2015) Waves crash over the forecastle of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) while transiting heavy seas. Comstock, part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, is on a deployment with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (11th MEU) to promote peace and freedom of the seas by providing security and stability in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
