ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 27, 2015) An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the Checkmates of Strike Fighter Attack Squadron (VFA) 211 launches from the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). Theodore Roosevelt deployed from Norfolk and will execute a homeport shift to San Diego at the conclusion of this deployment. Theodore Roosevelt is conducting naval operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe.
