Positioned to be operational at very short notice against ISIL strongholds in Iraq and Syria, the eight Mirage 2000Ds and 2000Ns were deployed from 12 December 2014 to 28 August 2016.Part of the Chammal operation, and involved in the OIR operation, they carried out over 2,300 sorties (2,349) and nearly 11,000 hours in the air (10,810).This means that three or four M2000s took off every day on strike missions, for twenty-one months without a break. - État-major des armées / armée de l'Air
