SOUTH CHINA SEA (March, 6, 2017) The "Blue Blasters" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 34 hold a change of command in two F/A-18C Hornets above the South China Sea. VFA-34 is deployed with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group, which is on a western Pacific deployment as part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of U.S. 3rd Fleet.
