Based on a tip from "a foreign intelligence agency," Pakistani police arrested 13 terrorism suspects 175 kilometers southeast of the capital. Four foreigners were among those arrested. While many of these tips come from American intelligence agencies, Saudi Arabia has also become a growing source of such information. Saudi charities have long been a source of money for religious schools (madrasses) in Pakistan, and some of these schools were fronts for Islamic radicals and terrorists. Saudi Arabia has been cracking down on Islamic radical groups in the past year, and passing on information about international activity by the Saudis arrested so far.
