The foreign minister met with the pope and gave assurances that violence against Christians in Indonesia would be met with strenuous efforts to halt it. In the capital, police arrested a woman carrying three small bombs. The woman is known to have links to former dictator Suharto. There is mounting evidence that the former dictators supporters have been funding many of terrorism and demonstrations meant to destabilize the government. .
