  Iraqi troops and police arrested over 300 terrorism suspects in western Baghdad, in an attempt to root out the groups recruiting suicide bombers and equipping them for their missions.  Several of these bombing missions are carried out each day, killing several dozen Iraqis a day. As a result, the suicide bombers, most of them foreigners, and their Iraqi supporters, most of them al Qaeda members or former Saddam followers, have become very unpopular.
