Overnight, Israeli helicopter gunships attacked four Palestinian targets. Eight people were killed, including a German doctor, even though the Palestinians were warned to evacuate the target areas. The locations hit were used by the Tanzim militia, which is suspected as being behind recent fatal drive by and sniper attacks on Israelis.
