Hamas, after first taking credit for the June 1st bombing, and then denying involvement, has now admitted that they were responsible. An opinion poll among Palestinians showed that 76 percent approved of suicide bombings, only 12.5 percent opposed the attacks. Only 34.4 percent approved of the Palestinian ceasefire.
