The death toll in the 14 month war between Israel and the Palestinians has reached 935. A recent survey of Israelis showed 53 percent favored more emphasis on peace negotiations, while 26 percent wanted all out war against the Palestinians. At the same time, 61 percent did not think prime minister Sharon could work out a settlement with the Palestinians.
