Turkish intelligence reports that PKK camps in Iraq, Iran, Armenia, and Greece are continuing their military training despite claims by PKK leaders that such training has ended. Turkish intelligence also reports new arms sales from Iran. It appears that one of the PKK leaders, notorious hardliner Cernil Bayak, has gained control over the organization. --Stephen V Cole

November 18; Turkish defense sources said one Turk soldier and 8 Kurd PKK rebels were killed in fighting in the Hani district of Diyarbakir province.

November 12; Turkish defense sources said 7 PKK Kurd rebels died in combat in the province of Siirt. The Turkish Army was conducting several counter-guerrilla operations in the region.
