An army offensive near the Guinean border, in an attempt to cut off LURD from their camps in Guinea, has resulted in heavy fighting 260 kilometers northwest of the capital. Fighting also continues at Tubmanburg, 65 kilometers northwest of the capital. The government says it would have an easier time of it if the UN arms embargo were lifted.
