A UN investigation has accused the government of smuggling in 200 tons of arms and military spare parts over the Summer. The supplier was in Yugoslavia, the arms being surplus Yugoslav army stuff. The weapons came in on six cargo flights. UN sanctions prohibit selling arms to Liberia.
