A group of armed volunteers fighting for the government stormed into a prison 70 kilometers north of the capital, and freed 25 inmates. The prison guards were so terrified that they have refused to return to work. The armed volunteers often turn into criminal gangs, or were criminals before they offered their services to the government. The volunteers have been accused of rape and pillage in rebel and government controlled areas.
