 A bomb went off on a crowded wharf in the southern city of Davao, leaving 15 dead and over 50 wounded. A similar attack in Davao was blamed on the MILF, which denied it. But there have long been attempts by local Moslems to drive out Christians, who tend to predominate in towns in cities because of better education and technical skills.
