The Mozambique government reports that its security police captured 18 AK-47s and "quantities of ammunition and military radios." The arms were found in the homes of members of the Mozambique National Resistance (RENAMO) opposition. RENAMO now operates as an opposition political party. A western news source also reported that RENAMO has a 150-man "security force."
