Is there a new guerrilla war in Laos? A US government spokesman said he US cannot confirm reports that someone attacked a bus station in Vientiane. Rather, it appears that several people were injured in a business dispute. Whats odd is that the dispute involved detonating a bomb. The Lao government put out a statement that business rivals attacked one another. We dont know. As we wrote last week, Laos is a Communist dictatorship and there are few independent journalists operating in the country.
