The Army has formally approved the Slamraam air defense system, which mounts four AIM-120 Amraam missiles on a Humvee. The system includes a radar to guide the missiles and can be cued by various battlefield surveillance systems. With a range of 25 kilometers, this can defeat helicopters at beyond the maximum range of the most deadly anti-tank missiles such as Spiral.--Stephen V Cole
