Archives

: The British Royal Marines have issued a $79 million contract to buy 110 BvS-10 articulated tracked vehicles (designed for use in the Arctic or in swamps). This covers three types: personnel carrier, command post, and recovery. Other variants (81mm mortar, Milan anti-tank, ambulance, and air defense) are expected later. The BvS-10 is an armored version of the Bv206S. The chassis is produced by Haaglunds of Sweden and the armored body by Alvis of the UK.--Stephen V Cole
