Britain plans to build two large-deck carriers, one to enter service in 2012 and the other in 2015. Two teams are bidding for the design: Thomson-Raytheon-BMT vs British Aerospace, Harlan & Wolff, and Rolls-Royce. The Thomson team just added Lockheed Martin to their mix in order to strengthen their electronics base.--Stephen V Cole
