A Hughes data relay satellite designed to relay data from spy satellites to ground stations was scheduled for launch on 20 March, but had so many problems during final checkout that it had to be sent back to the factory. Launch will be delayed about six months. The Atlas-Centaur booster had to be removed from Launch Pad 36A to clear it for other launches.--Stephen V Cole
