Celestis Inc., the company that sent the cremated remains of Gene Roddenberry and Timothy Leary into orbit three years ago, is now willing to bury your loved one on the moon for $12,500. According to their plan, they will send 200 tiny capsules, each containing 8% of the ashes of one human being, to the moon on board a rocket to be launched by Orbital Sciences. When NASA sent ashes from Dr Eugene Shoemaker to the moon two years ago, the 250,000 members of the Navajo tribe demanded and got an apology since they claim to own the moon as a sacred site. The Navajos are trying to block the Celestis plan, in court if necessary.--Stephen V Cole
