China is actively marketing its C701 anti-ship missile. The helicopter-launched version is 2.507m long, has a diameter of 180mm, and has a launch weight of 100kg. It has four wings mounted about 2/3 of the way back along the fuselage and four control fins at the rear. The conventional warhead is unknown but assumed to be about 30+kg of the blast-fragmentation type. Control is electro-optical, with the controller watching the target through a TV camera-mounted in the missile. The ship-launched version is contained in a box launcher and seems to have some kind of initial booster. This version probably uses a guidance radar in the missile nose, but the precise type is not known.--Stephen V Cole
