In a recent meeting of US and Chinese military analysts and officials, the Chinese showed no interest whatsoever in discussing the war on terrorism, human rights, "non-state actors", or globalization. They were only interested in military-to-military links between the US and China, and resented any implication that the US might have other concerns than confronting or cooperating with China.--Stephen V Cole
