RFE reported that the Moldovan government has decided to annul its decision to make learning Russian compulsory in Moldovan schools. As for the governments decision to teach classes on The History of Moldovans instead of the current History of Romanians that decision wont be implemented just yet. Why? Extensive street protests and demonstrations have had an effect. The majority of Moldovans consider themselves to be Romanians.
