One of the smaller rebel groups, the FNTR (about 400 armed rebels) has announced that they are giving up their six year struggle. The FNTR operated in the eastern part of Chad, but was not as active as the MDJT. The government has been negotiating, and making concessions, with FNTR leaders for some time.
