The navy will spend ten million dollars to recondition the engines on it's 28 warships (all bought from East Germany at the end of the Cold War in 1992.) Poor maintenance is common in the Indonesia armed forces. The navy received 16 corvettes, 14 landing ships and nine minesweepers between 1993 and 1995.
