A Palestinian suicide bomber in northern Israel killed himself, two soldiers and wounded several others. This was the first fatal bombing in Israel since the June 1st disco bombing. In response, Israeli tanks fired on Palestinian Authority police buildings. The bodies of two Palestinians were found near a sports stadium. The two were apparently planting a bomb (which went off prematurely.)
