Israel has ordered the expulsion of 50,000 illegal migrants. There are an estimated 150-200,000 illegal migrants in Israel (from East Europe, Africa and Asia). Many come to take some of the jobs formerly done by some 120,000 Palestinians (who used to work in Israel). Increasingly, Israelis are resigned to never letting the Palestinians work in Israel again, and using migrant workers instead. But the violence has increased unemployment and now Israel wants more of the illegal workers gone so there are more jobs for Israelis (unfortunately, these are jobs Israelis don't want).
