Latest stalemate on the road to peace is the Palestinian demand that Hamas prisoners be released, while the Israelis refuse until Hamas disarms. But Hamas has no intention of disarming, as they see the three month truce as an opportunity to rebuild their terrorist organization and get some of their members out of jail.

Terrorist attacks are way down, but there's not much progress on a permanent peace. The Palestinian terrorists are apparently planning new attacks and rebuilding their damaged organizations. But the Israeli police and security services are not idle either, as intelligence work continues, as does arrests of terrorists.
