There have been eleven bombings in Lebanon during the last six months, and all are believed carried out by pro-Syrian Lebanese. In effect, the bombs are a terrorist campaign to help keep the pro-Syrian politicians in power. Despite the recent evacuation of Syrian troops and intelligence officials from Lebanon, Syrian controlled businesses (both legal and criminal) still play a large role in the country.
