While president Charles Taylor appears determined to leave on Monday and go into exile in Nigeria, his followers will have a lot of incentive to fight on. Unless peacekeepers can enforce some kind of amnesty, Taylor's cronies will face retribution if they give up.

More Nigerian peacekeepers entered the capital, others went to suburban areas.
