 Tiv and Azeri tribesmen wandered about central Nigeria attacking each other and civilians. Dozens have died since the violence began ten days ago. In the north, Christians in northern Kano state rioted when a Moslem bus driver insisted that male and female passengers sit in different parts of the bus, as prescribed by Sharia law. Christina passengers objected and the unrest began. Several Mosques were burned, but police intervened before there were injuries.
