U.S. Special Forces instructors from the "Train and Equip Program" will start training the third Georgian special-purpose battalion in May. The Defense Ministry has received over 200 applications, although they are planning to recruit up to 600 commandos. Applicants are being screened, with a second round of interviews due to start in early April. This third battalion will be stationed at the Vaziani military base, while the manning of the fourth battalion will start in July or August. The first battalion finished their course of instruction in December and the second one is still being trained. - Adam Geibel
