Georgia says it will take care of al Qaeda members and Chechen rebels in northern Georgia's Pankisi Gorge. But Russia doesn't believe the Georgians can do it, lacking sufficient trained trained troops, or the ability to resist bribes from the Chechens or terrorists. So the Russians are planning to send their own troops in to clear out the Pankisi Gorge. The Georgians are calling for international help, but their calls are largely going unanswered.
