New reports confirm earlier Ugandan government statements (from October 11) that bubonic plague has broken out in Ugandan areas border in the DRC. The Ugandan government says medical liaison teams are currently deployed in the sub-counties of Kangu, Nyapea, Zeu, Ayak and Pageya. These are located in the northwestern district of Nebbi. At least 14 people have died from the plague outbreak.
